My First Lightroom Edit

My First Lightroom Edit

I know last week I posted the Arts District shoot that I had edited with Lightroom. However, that wasn’t my first attempt at using Adobe Lightroom. Back in May, I went out and took Micaela’s graduation photos. Now, up until this point, I had never edited a photo other than the lame examples they give you in school. I had surely never used Lightroom and I rarely used Photoshop. In fact, I’m not even sure I remember how to use Photoshop. Editing my own photos was interesting, for sure. I’m super hard on myself as it is, so editing my own photos was no different. The added pressure of them being important graduation photos definitely didn’t help. If there wasn’t a deadline, I would have probably stayed there for months trying to perfect them. Mostly, I just tried to enhance the colour. I did try a couple different ways of editing them. In certain shots I focused on enhancing the greens where as in others I focused more on the blues. I tried to primarily make sure she stood out the most, seeing as she is obviously the main subject, but that proved difficult depending on the editing style I chose. Below are a selection of “Before/After” photos. As always, your feedback is appreciated.
