Instagram Inspiration

Instagram Inspiration

I want to first let you know that this is going to be a rather lengthy post. I do apologise. I know there are thousands of great photographers and artists out there. And there are so many people on Instagram that inspire me daily. So I thought I would take some time to share with you who these people are that I just can’t get enough of! I feel like I unlock my phone and just end up on Instagram for the majority of my day. It’s honestly ridiculous how much time I spend on there, but there is just so much amazing content, that I feel like I’ll never see it all. I also think it’s really important that creators take the time to acknowledge other super talented people and support other creators. So without further ado, here are my current Top 6 Instagram pages that inspire me.

#1 Brandon Woelfel
Okay, let’s be honest, if you didn’t see that one coming, then you haven’s been paying very close attention. I LOVE this guy. His style is amazing and he inspires me daily. He might even be the sole reason that I got interested in taking portraits. His style is unique and his photos look like they belong in a fairy tale. He can make ordinary places look amazing and I love his work. He posts on Instagram daily and he also has a photo book out for purchase. Below are 3 of my favourite photos of his; although to be honest, picking just 3 was the hardest task of my life. So go check him out because he’s amazing.

#2 Sawyer Hartman
I have been a fan of Sawyer Hartman for years. I used to religiously watch his YouTube channel like 4 or 5 years ago. I am a major fan of his directing and his ‘Thru My Eyes’ series on YouTube made me want to just go out and film nature clips. I think he is a big reason why I like documentary film making so much. Anyways, his photography skills are also remarkable, and since I’ve been a fan of his for so long, I had to mention him here. His Instagram feed always looks amazing and he’s one my favourite “influencers” by far. Go give his Instagram a follow because he constantly posts great content. Below are 3 of my favourite moments he’s captured.

#3 Derrick Freske
I recently discovered Derrick Freske from a YouTube video with….you guessed it…Brandon Woelfel. I really liked his style, so I went to look him up on Instagram and he is really talented. Which I guess is why he has so many followers. He plays around with colour a lot which I really love. If you have time, definitely go check him out because I think his portraits are glorious. Here are 3 of my favourite.

#4 Matt Ferr
I absolutely adore his photos! I would say they stick with a much more travel-type theme, and definitely a warmer colour scheme. He tends to lean more with the colours of a sunset rather than the blue tones I stick with. But I love his photos. I think he’s a great photographer. His Instagram is very aesthetically pleasing. Go check out all of his work because my top 3 are great, but he has SO MUCH content that you should look at.

#5 Julius Kähkönen
This guy is AMAZING! And when I say amazing, I literally mean A-MA-ZING! I personally have very little Photoshop skills. I do nearly all of my editing in Lightroom. Julius does his editing in Photoshop and I think he is so spectacular that it makes me want to mess around with Photoshop more. He clearly puts a lot of time and work into his edits and it definitely pays off. I honestly can’t get enough of his photos. His Instagram page looks amazing. He also offers courses  and has his own YouTube channel. He is seriously amazing and I cannot recommend him enough. My top 3 favourites are listed below, but you really need to get on over to his Instagram and check out all of his cool edits for yourself. Seriously, go check him out if you haven’t already. Seriously.

#6 Braxton Gore
Last, but certainly not least, Braxton Gore. Or better known as his Instagram handle, EyesOfBrax. He does a bunch of amazing edits. I believe they’re done mostly in photoshop, but I know he has a set of Lightroom presets, so there’s that. He is incredible. I love his style and his usual colour scheme reminds me of a cotton candy sunset and I love it. His photos are much more vibrant sunset-like than Matt Ferr’s, but I still thoroughly enjoy them. He is a very talented individual and I love looking at his feed. Definitely go over and check him out and give him a follow. Below are my 3 favourite EyesOfBrax photos.

So that’s it. That’s my current top 6 Instagrammers. I love so so so many Instagram pages and I’m sure I’ll have to do another one of these because the list of people I love just keeps growing. Let me know if you went and showed their pages some love, and let me know who some of your favourite Instagrammers are! I always love finding new people to follow. Talk to you next week.
