Instagram Inspiration – Landscape Edition

Instagram Inspiration – Landscape Edition

I know what you’re thinking, “Mira, you just did one of these posts 3 weeks ago!” And you’re right, I did. But this week’s is a little bit different because I’m specifically going to be giving kudos to people who are awesome at landscape photography. I usually pick portrait photographers because I am most interested in learning to take better portraits, but there are LOADS of landscape photographers that inspire me too. I really just love all photography, but I don’t think I’ve mentioned enough nature photographers. Again, I want it noted that these are in no particular order…it was hard enough just narrowing it down to 6, let alone ordering them within themselves. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

#1 Connor Merrick

This guy is literally amazing! His Instagram feed is so aesthetically pleasing. I honestly can’t get enough of his page. For some reason, it makes me want to go exploring in the woods and live in a  cabin for a while. I think he’s amazing and if you haven’t heard of him, you should definitely go check him out on Instgram by clicking his name listed above. He also has a Youtube Channel, which you can check out here. He seems very chill and down to Earth and like someone I would want to know personally and professionally. Keep being awesome! Below are 3 of my favourite of his photos thus far.

#2 Jack Harding

His photos make me think of winter, but in the best way. For some reason, I always think of a cold place with his photos. And I love them! He does a great job of making a photo look massive, even if the actual size of the photo is small….if that makes sense. I recommend checking out his Instagram page when you get a moment, because it’s beautiful. He also has a set of Lightroom presets that you can check out and buy here. Below are my 3 favourites of his, but it was very hard to choose, so go give his page some love!

#3 Francesco Salvaggio

I absolutely love his work. He does a great job of capturing images that make you feel small. The vastness of his photos is insane and I love it. He goes through colour phases which I think is a really cool way to make your page flow. He is incredible and you should go view some of his work. It’s all great! Below are my 3 current faves.

#4 Zack Melhus

Much like Connor Merrick, Zack Melhus’s Instagram feed makes me want to get lost in the woods. I think he does a great job of preserving the colours of the landscapes while also making them look slightly more vintage with more muted colours. I love his feed, and I highly suggest you go take a look.

#5 Eric Rubens

His feed is not like some of the other ones I’ve mentioned thus far. His feed is much more pastel. cotton candy looking in my opinion. I still very much love it, and all the colours may, in fact, be why I love it so much. I’ve always gravitated more towards the blues, but he also does a great job with the oranges, pinks, and purples. He makes everything look like a magical place, and I adore his feed. You should definitely go check out website and his Instagram. He’s great. Below are 3 of my favourites.

#6 Tobias Hägg

His Instagram feed is literally wonderful! I can’t get enough of his photos, and I constantly find myself going back to his page. The colours are great, his editing style is great, the aesthetic is great, and his photography skills are great. His drone shots are amazing, and he has a bunch of tips and tricks on his website, so definitely go check that out too! (*It’s linked above via his name.) I love all of his work, and you would too! Go give him a follow for awesome photos. The 3 photos below are my favourites from him so far.
